BoxNine7 talks bold colours and shapes with Camille Walala
After Camille Walala’s famous, colourful maze at Now Gallery, she has come back to London Design Festival with another bright and bold number. Tucked away behind Liverpool Street Station was Villa Walala, an inflatable castle reminiscent of your childhood that will put a smile on anyone’s face! Camille spent a little time talking the BoxNine7 team through the installation and what inspires her designs. Her design style, which include bold, block colours and print derive from her influences, the Memphis Movement and the South African, Ndebele Tribe. The idea behind Villa Walala is to strike a contrast between work and play for city goers. At BoxNine7 we believe bold artwork and pops of colour in a scheme can transform a space and make it spectacular. Take a look at how we do it in our recent scheme at Queenstown Road.
