To beat the January blues our designers headed off to Germany for IMM Cologne, our first interior show of 2018! The expansive international show was an exceptional display of what this year has in store for the interior design world and certainly gave us endless inspiration for our upcoming projects here at BoxNine7.

We couldn't help but share our top highlights and notable trends of the event.
Here's what IMM Cologne had to offer..

TREND #1

Pops of raspberry and bold colours were found everywhere throughout the show, and we love it! The rich hue commands attention in any room and looks superb in upholstery. We’ll just say you can be sure to find this bold number making an appearance in one of our future schemes…

TREND #2

Who wouldn’t love to curl up in one of these? The cotton
candy-like material took over all types of furniture, from occasional chairs to dining chairs and even a fridge, but we’ll pass on that one.

TREND #3

Don’t forget the rug! At BoxNine7 we know how important a rug is to pull a scheme together which is why we have our own bespoke collection. Striking bold rugs hung like artwork at IMM Cologne. We fell even more in love with them after seeing the process of rug making demonstrated first-hand.

TREND #4

The layering of textures, wool and fringe all created sumptuous schemes with added dimensions and a playful vibe. We have seen the layering of mixed materials boom in the fashion industry, and it is now our turn to take this style and make it our own through interior design...
