North Kensington Gate:
Refined Living in London’s Newest Postcode

PROJECTS

Welcome to our latest interior design project: a two-bedroom show home at North Kensington Gate, right in the heart of one of West London’s most talked-about regeneration zones. Just steps from the Grand Union Canal, this bold new postcode is fast emerging as a destination in its own right. Developed by City and Docklands and brought to market by our new client, Synergy Properties, this apartment is all about striking a balance between comfort and style, edge and elegance, urban energy and a true sense of home.

The Pulse of a Transforming Neighbourhood

North Kensington Gate sits at the heart of one of London’s most ambitious regeneration projects. Located on the Grand Union Canal within the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC), it forms part of a £26 billion masterplan that will create a major new hub in West London. With plans for new homes, businesses, green spaces and transport links, including HS2 and the Elizabeth line, this area is set to become one of the capital’s most dynamic and best-connected residential districts.

The regeneration goes beyond new transport links and planning frameworks. The surrounding neighbourhood offers a strong sense of place, close to the edge of Kensington and Chelsea, with easy access to farmers' markets, galleries, and some of London’s best-loved restaurants and cultural landmarks. It’s a location that brings together long-term investment potential with an already vibrant lifestyle.

“North Kensington Gate features a refreshing, inviting palette that immediately draws you into the space. The natural finishes not only ground the design but also create visual interest throughout.”

Designed for the Cultured Urbanite

This two-bedroom apartment was designed with today’s globally minded resident in mind, someone who values comfort but has a sharp eye for design, a resident who seeks out spaces that feel both stylish and liveable. The brief called for a space that feels textured, layered, and organic, without losing its polish.

We set out to create a home that feels elevated yet easy to live in. The tone is modern and calm, led by soft blues and ivory, and brought to life through rich materials and thoughtful detail. Every touch, from sculptural lighting to locally sourced art, has been chosen to add depth and a sense of place.

Let’s Step Inside…

The living and dining space sets the tone with natural wood finishes, textured fabrics, and sculptural accents that add depth while keeping the look clean and stylish. A tactile, fabric sofa sits at the heart of the room, inviting and comfortable, paired with soft blue cushions that bring a gentle lift to the palette. A leather armchair adds contrast and character, while abstract artwork completes the space nicely. In the dining area, burnt orange chairs introduce a pop of colour, adding a bold touch to the room’s earthy tones. It’s refined but relaxed, made for both hosting and winding down.

Moving on to the bedrooms, the design carries through the same calm and neutral palette seen in the living space. In the main bedroom, a scalloped headboard and bobbin-detailed dressing table introduce a subtle touch of playfulness, while burl wood accents and a metal wall lamp adding character and a touch of contrast.

For the second bedroom, the burl wood furniture, sculptural lighting, and abstract artwork add visual interest, while gentle colour accents bring in a sense of ease. Whether used for guests, working from home or simply winding down, it’s a space that feels relaxed and thoughtfully put together.

Subtle nods to modern living, from industrial lighting to textured finishes, set the tone at North Kensington Gate. At BoxNine7, we believe great design starts with understanding how people actually live. The result is a space that’s refined, characterful, and built for modern life. Every detail is curated with purpose, with materials and styling that enhance both look and feel. It’s design that lives well, and leaves a lasting impression.
